Gammarth

The capital's seaside retreat.

Just north of La Marsa, Gammarth is where Tunis goes for long beach days and summer nights. Hills covered with pines slope down to the sea, and the coastline is lined with beaches, hotels and restaurants.

It's an easy place to combine with Sidi Bou Said, La Marsa and Carthage, all close by.
